SAP Consultant

A job between IT, genius and madness.

Whether you're new to SAP or already an expert, we'll answer the most important questions about the job. Why are SAP consultants in such high demand? What exactly does the job profile and everyday life at the All for One Group look like? What skills and character traits should you have for a career in IT consulting? How do you start your career? What do you need to consider when choosing an employer? And what about work-life balance and career opportunities?

What does an SAP consultant do - in general ...

The digital transformation is in full swing. Almost every large company is faced with the mammoth task of making its processes more automated, efficient and streamlined and mapping them with the help of intelligent ERP systems. This is where the SAP consultant comes into play. They specialize in IT consulting and focus on the implementation of software solutions from SAP, such as S/4HANA. They adapt the IT system so that it fits the customer's individual business processes. This is called customizing.

Always on the move
According to some, the job is demanding, complex and interdisciplinary. And: incredibly dynamic and exciting, we think. Devilishly demanding, others would say. Business know-how, analytical understanding, technical background knowledge and communication skills are often required in equal measure. As every company, every customer and every process is unique, the learning and development curve is extremely steep, even for experienced IT consultants. The increase in kilometers covered can also be steep. This is because presence at the customer's premises and the associated willingness to travel are often indispensable.

A good SAP consultant, like a small child, constantly asks "Why?"...

Orchestrating change processes
An SAP consultant often acts as a conductor. He sets the tone for the systemic change process, introduces his customers to new technologies and manages their implementation and knowledge transfer. He takes on the task of recording the customer's requirements, creates feasibility analyses, analyzes the existing IT landscape and strategy, checks the framework conditions and derives recommendations from this. From this, he develops a strategy for the transformation process.

A high degree of specialization is often required
There are virtually no limits to the areas in which you can specialize. Finance & Controlling, Production & Logistics, Human Resources, CRM, Sales and Foreign Trade - expertise is required in practically all areas relevant to business management. An SAP consultant does not act as a lone wolf, but as part of interdisciplinary, networked specialist teams. Their expertise is also in demand in the area of presales or as an industry expert.

How does an SAP consultant work. In concrete terms. With us.

SAP consulting at the All for One Group is characterized by a number of special features. Entrepreneurial spirit is required and the scope for shaping your own work planning is great. Numerous roles are possible
At All for One Group, an SAP consultant develops individual solutions from the SAP product portfolio on an equal footing with the customer. A high level of personal responsibility and expertise in their own specialist area, for example Manufacturing, Consumer Products, Finance & Controlling or Supply Chain & Logistics, is a prerequisite. Further development depends on your personality. Communication skills. Organizational talent, leadership skills, specialist knowledge, an affinity for technology, all-round skills - depending on your strengths, you can take on a wide variety of roles at the All for One Group. As an implementation consultant, process consultant, presales consultant, solution architect, industry expert or project manager.
